Brandenburg, Land of Lakes – Templiner See
Templiner See is one of the many lakes formed around the course of the Havel River, and it was the first on my list of nearby lakes to visit.
Minieuroland in Kłodzko
Minieuroland is a miniature park featuring famous buildings from across Europe, Lower Silesia, and the Kłodzko region. On site, you can see miniatures of the Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, among others.

This is not a metaphor. In the 15th century, this port controlled one of the most important trade routes in the world. Ships from China, India, Arabia and Europe passed through the Strait of Malacca, carrying silk, porcelain, spices and gold. Whoever controlled this city controlled trade between East and West.
Today, Malacca looks calm and unassuming. Low buildings, a red colonial square, temples, narrow streets of Chinatown.
Only when you learn its history do you begin to understand how significant this place once was.

Statki z Chin, Indii, Arabii i Europy przepływały przez Cieśninę Malakka, przewożąc jedwab, porcelanę, przyprawy i złoto. Kto kontrolował to miasto, kontrolował handel między Wschodem a Zachodem.
Dzisiaj Malacca wygląda spokojnie i niepozornie. Niskie budynki, czerwony kolonialny plac, świątynie, wąskie uliczki Chinatown.
Dopiero kiedy poznasz jej historię, zaczynasz rozumieć, jak ogromne znaczenie miało to miejsce.
