Malacca is one of those cities that can truly surprise you. For centuries, it was one of the most important trading ports in the world, and today it impresses visitors with its history, architecture, and unique atmosphere. In one place, Portuguese, Dutch, British, Chinese, and Malay influences come together. Colorful trishaws, historic temples, colonial buildings, and a mosque floating above the water create a landscape unlike any other. Importantly, most attractions are located close to each other, therefore Malacca is an ideal destination even for a one day trip.
