Café and Gallery LOTOS
Upon crossing the threshold of the unassuming café from the outside, I was greeted by a charming and atmospheric place. In the Lotos café, we can sink into soft armchairs, swaying to the rhythm of gentle music.
The Lotos Café and Gallery was established in 1986 in Kamienna Góra and is undoubtedly one of the oldest cafés. Upon entering the restaurant, we step into a room resembling a cozy living room with a fireplace. From the very entrance, one can feel a warm, family atmosphere in the air. Paintings are hung on the walls, and the café has an old-fashioned décor. An additional advantage is the frequent organization of author evenings and live jazz music nights.
The café’s menu includes not only drinks and coffee but also main dishes such as dumplings, stuffed cabbage, soups, salads, and chicken fillets. I personally indulged in stuffed cabbage with duck meat in a delicate tomato sauce and dumplings with spinach and feta cheese, served with butter and dill. Both dishes melted in my mouth. For dessert, I had the signature almond cake and Dutch coffee (coffee, advocaat, and whipped cream).
The Lotos Café and Gallery is undoubtedly a place with soul. It is charming, and you can feel the family atmosphere. The food is beautifully presented, delighting not only the eyes but also my taste buds. The freshly brewed coffee from the espresso machine, along with the homemade cake, exceeded my expectations. Service was wonderful, making the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend the café. When in Kamienna Góra, don’t forget to visit!
