Brandenburg, Land of Lakes – Seddiner See

The Great Seddiner Lake, often simply called Seddiner See, is another glacial lake that was formed around 20,000 years ago. It took me 3 hours and 54 minutes to walk around it, covering a distance of 13.46 kilometers.

The lake is divided into Small Seddiner See and Large Seddiner See. I began my journey at the smaller lake, which is separated from the larger one only by a road. A blue hiking trail guided me around the lake. There is also a large golf course nearby.

The entire lake can be circumnavigated along the trail, which winds through trees, meadows, and fields. Only in the southern part does the lake border two towns, Kahnsdorf and Seddin. There is also a small lake, Kahnsdorfer See. In some places, barriers have been placed due to the bird breeding season.

The lake attracts a large number of tourists, as well as local residents, with its many beaches, beach volleyball courts, clear water, and picturesque views. In addition, around the lake, you can also visit:

A guarded beach with beach volleyball courts, a restaurant, toilets, changing rooms, and a beautiful beach.
