Denmark – Hobro

The Most Interesting Attractions of Northern Denmark in 3 Days. Mission Impossible?

Day 3

Hobro

On the last day, we decided to relax and take a look around the town where we were staying. Hobro is located in Northern Jutland, by the Marjagerfjord. It is a small town with about 12,000 inhabitants. Our goal was to see the fjord and the fishing port, which was a 15-minute walk away.

On the way, we admired the beautiful Danish architecture. The Danes focus primarily on simplicity, comfort, but also on safety and aesthetics. It is a very clean country, but also one full of trust. Until recently, you could still find signs in front of homes with messages like “eggs” or “potatoes,” where people could help themselves, take what they needed, and leave payment in a box or another designated place. However, this is becoming rarer due to the influx of foreigners who do not respect Danish culture and simply stole.

We decided to visit the port and do a little sightseeing. We really wanted to see the skeleton of an old ship up close, but unfortunately, we couldn’t get inside. Instead, a little further on, we found old ships, probably belonging to the coast guard. Of course, no one was guarding them. Without much thought, we went to see them up close.

From where we were staying, all the sites were about 150 to 200 kilometers away. This made it possible to visit so many places. Fortunately, Denmark is a small but beautiful country. I will definitely come back here, and next time I hope to see the capital.
