Chinese Garden in Weissensee
The Chinese Garden in Weissensee, also known as the “Garden of Eternal Happiness,” is the only one of its kind in all of Europe.
The garden was built in just 4 months by Chinese workers from Shanghai. It covers an area of about 5,400 square meters and is situated on a slope, with a pagoda on the water. So far, I haven’t encountered anything like this in Germany or Europe. The size, design, and execution, as well as the path leading to the pagoda on the water through the city walls, make this garden unique and unparalleled. On the grounds, you can see vegetation typical of Asian countries, amazing Chinese architecture, bas-reliefs, and sculptures. There is also a restaurant on-site serving delicious food.
Opening hours from April to October:
Tuesday to Thursday: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Friday to Sunday and holidays: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
From November to March, the gardens are closed for winter break.
Price: 5 euros.
